Following the Marvel series headed to the streaming service, it’s almost impossible to think of a reason to not have a Netflix subscription. Now gamers will want to check it out as it sounds like we’re going to get a live-action Legend of Zelda series. You heard me right, and no hell hasn’t frozen over.
The Wall Street Journal reported it today, and compares to to Game of Thrones:
The video streaming service is in the early stages of developing a live action series based on “Zelda,” about an ordinary boy named Link who must rescue a princess named Zelda and save a fantasy world called Hyrule, said a person familiar with the matter. As it seeks writers to work on the show, Netflix is describing it as “Game of Thrones” for a family audience, this person said.
Zelda fans have been dreaming about a high-quality live-action movie based on the game series for years, but a Netflix series may just be the next best thing. Especially if they’re aiming for a Game of Thrones level of quality!
