Sorry, There’s No ‘The Last Jedi’ Trailer on February 22nd

A couple of weeks ago a Reddit user wrote up a huge speculative post that led many to believe that a trailer for The Last Jedi would come out at the end of February. The lynchpin in his theory is a countdown on the Confidential Music website that is counting down to the 22nd (or 23rd depending on who you ask).

Confidential Music produces a lot of music for movie trailers, and has worked with Disney before on movies for all of their brands including Marvel and both previous Star Wars releases. So since they had a countdown on their website, this guy believed they were counting down to the release of a new Star Wars trailer.

Another Reddit user on the StarWarsLeaks subreddit actually contacted Contact Music to find out what the countdown is for, and it has nothing to do with Star Wars or even a new trailer release:

“Hey Josh, apologies for the delayed response. Thank you for the kind words. The countdown on the website unfortunately has nothing to do with Star Wars. It is a countdown till our next library release to our trailer clients. Along with the industry release we also release a new track to our YouTube channel. Thanks for reaching out.

This effectively kills that growing theory of a trailer in February. Of course the bogus 4Chan rumor of a trailer this week is also dead.

Hate to break it to you, but if you want to see footage from The Last Jedi you’re going to have to wait for Celebration on April 13th.
