San Diego Comic Con is less than a month away, and fans are going through their annual cycle of overhyping themselves for Marvel’s Hall H panel. Thankfully Kevin Feige is here to throw some cold water on your hype.
The head of Marvel Studios told i09 we won’t hear anything until after the fourth Avengers movie:
“I think there will be certain elements that start to come about, not the least of which is the already announced release date of the next Spider-Man film. But other than that we’re going to keep it very close to the vest because this is really about focusing on the unprecedented conclusion to a 22-movie overarching narrative.”
Marvel has previously said that the MCU would look very different after the fourth Avengers movie, so much that the title of that movie is considered a spoiler before Infinity War. If it’s going to be that different, then it makes a lot of sense that they won’t want to spoil things by announcing what the “Phase 4” movies would be this early.
