Deadpool 2 teaser points to Mr. Sinister as movie’s villain

Deadpool2 Bob Ross

Most of the trailer is an oddly accurate tribute to the late great Bob Ross. Not going to get into that here but checkout this link if you don’t know who Bob Ross is and want to understand the joke.

Towards the end of the trailer however, we get to see a short montage of clips from the movie that gives us some idea of what to expect from Deadpool 2. We see many returning characters like Dopinder (Karan Soni), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Weasel (T.J. Miller), Venessa (Morena Baccarin) and Blind Al (Leslie Uggams).

In addition, we get to see many new characters. We get our first look at Domino (Zazie Beats) kicking down a door. Another scene shows a boy (Julian Denison) apparently using pyrokinesis. Could this be a recast version of Pyro? Or could he be playing a different pyrokinetic like Wiccan or Sunfire. Then at the end we get our first glimpse of Cable reaching for a gun with his cybernetic hand.

We also get hints that continue to point to Mister Sinister as the main villain of the movie. With Mister Sinister being tied so closely to Cable’s origin story, it would make sense that Mister Sinister would be the antagonist. We also see an odd red mark appear on one of Deadpool’s painting that sort of looks like Mr. Sinister in a ‘Rorschach test’ kind of way. Also, at the end of X-Men Apocalypse we saw a man collect vials of Wolverine’s blood and put it into a briefcase with the name Essex Corp on it. Essex Corp is a reference to Nathaniel Essex aka Mister Sinister. While this teaser didn’t confirm much, it may have hinted as to when the next, more revealing, trailer will come out. One of the paintings we see towards the end is the whole cast around a thanksgiving dinner which suggests we may get a new trailer here very soon!

Lastly, did you spot Stan Lee in the teaser? Here’s a hint: check the paintings.
