Spoofing the awesome Darth Vader Super Bowl spot from earlier this year isn't new, but Marvel has done it for a Thor TV spot and the results are awesome. It follows the same basic premise of the Vader spot, only with a mini-Thor. Sprinkled throughout the video are tons of Thor and Marvel references, so try to see how many you can pick out. Thor comes out in just two weeks and is already gettin... more.

Time for another Firday night debate. • Preview the Thor Soundtrack 1 CommentsPosted by on under Comics, News
The Odinson has a theme! A one-minute preview of Patrick Doyle's score for Thor has hit Youtube and it sounds pretty awesome. Doyle is to Kenneth Branagh what John Williams is to Spielberg; so it should be no surprise to hear him doing the score to Thor. It's not known the context of the preview, but it sounds like it could be some kind of main theme either for Thor himself or Asgard. The full sou... more.

Massive comic crossovers are expected. It's now a summer tradition. Usually beginning in the late Spring, both Marvel and DC set up large universe-spanning crossovers that then set the stage for all the stories told for the remaining year. We're less than a month away from the Odinson hitting theater screens, and as part of the Slurpee tie-in a new behind-the-scenes featurette has been released. Despite the connection with those sugary drinks at 7-11, the three-minute feature is actually pretty good. It reveals a bit more about the story, and shows more footage of Asgard. The way Thor's armor crumbles from his arm when Odin takes Mj... more.

The Green Lantern movie hits theaters in just over two months, which is just enough time to get caught up on the character in the form of comics. Green Lantern isn't as well known as Superman or Batman, and a good comparison would be that in terms of familiarity he's about on the same level Iron Man was prior to the first movie.
