Did you sign up to beta test Star Wars: The Old Republic? Chances are you got an email last night taunting you with a survey intended for people currently in the test. Obviously something messed up, as it looks like just about everyone who ever signed up to test the game received the email thanking them for testing and asking them to take a fun survey about the beta. Here's what the email said:... more.

Instead of writing up a detailed review of a game that's six years old, I'm just going to give you an impassioned plea to buy the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection for the PS3. Released this week for a decent $40, the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection is the latest in PlayStation 2 re-releases being upscaled to HD and slapped on a Blu-Ray. Sony is really doing this after removing PS2 backw... more.
The Old Republic Gains Achievements

If you play World of Warcraft you probably know at least one achievement whore. You know the type. They obsess over the smallest things in the game, just to gain an achievement that adds to a rather useless tally of points. Ever since the Xbox 360 introduced achievements to the gaming masses, everyone wants them. The PS3 has them, Steam has them, WoW has them, Rift has them, and now The Old Republ... more.
Dead Space 3 Goes Planetside

Last week when Dead Space 3 was accidentally revealed by an Israeli news report, we speculated that the third game would take place on a planet. At the EuroGamer Expo, BioWare announced that TOR will launch on December 20th in North America and December 22nd in Europe. Similarly to WoW, it'll be $14.99 a month with discounted rates available for three and six month plans. There wasn't an announcement ... more.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is such a highly-anticipated MMO that the general consensus is that if it doesn't succeed; the entire MMO industry is going to back to the drawing board. The subscription model, outside of World of Warcraft, will officially be considered dead, and everyone will immediately start converting their big-name MMOs to free to play games. In the past, if your game wasn't... more.

If you're a gamer or comic fan, or both, there's one game that should be at the top of your list this year; Batman: Arkham City. Rocksteady's sequel to the best comic book game ever made looks to improve upon everything that made the original one great, while adding new villains and elements to the gameplay. Diablo III Beta is Underway

Perhaps the most anticipated PC game that doesn't have "Old" or "Republic" in the title is Blizzard's Diablo III. After Blizzard's Friends & Family Alpha and a relatively quick closed beta, the company announced last night that they are opening the floodgates to normal people to try out the next generation demon slaying and mouse click-fest that they've cooked up. Apparently while the beta will at... more.
