If you were at any time an Old Republic player excited about returning once it went Free to Play, you were probably shocked at how restrictive the game was if your didn't pay. Gaming industry news site Gamasutra was also shocked, and they got pretty pissed off at how badly the Free to Play version of the game was implemented. The result is a more. -
She Can Outrun Roscoe in 12 Parsecs

Growing up during the run of the original Star Wars Trilogy, my Friday nights were occupied by the Dukes of Hazard. That ingrained the awesomness of the General Lee in my mind, and that's my dream car. So when I saw this General Lee-Falcon, it really made me smile. I wonder if the hyperdrive plays dixie...... more. -
Star Tours Helped Make The Hobbit 48 FPS

One of the biggest reasons to see The Hobbit, besides it being another Peter Jackson Middle-Earth movie, is the fact that it's possible to see it in 48FPS 3D. It'll be the first major movie to screen in that format, but it's not the first piece of entertainment to do so. Last year Disneyland upgraded Star Tours with a new 3D movie, and that ride runs at a high frame rate. If you've ever ridden it,... more. -
Lucas Explains His Episode VII Involvement

Prequel haters have been hoping that George Lucas would be heavily involved with the new Star Wars movies so they'll have a reason to bash them endlessly and write more songs about Lucas raping their childhood. Well, it looks like they're in for some crushing disappointment as Lucas has revealed that his involvement as a "consultant" is really nothing more than being a Star Wars encyclopedia that ... more. -

Probably the most popular Star Wars comic series since the original Tales of the Jedi run that established the Old Republic was the fifty-issue Star Wars: Legacy series. Set over 100 years after the movies and EU books, the series was about Cade Skywalker who was once a Jedi but became a Smuggler in a universe with a new Galactic Empire. The series was extremely popular, and now Dark Horse is retu... more. -
Ewan McGregor Would be Happy to Return to Star Wars

One bit of ammunition the Prequel Haters love to use is a perceived hatred of the movies by some of the stars. One on-going bit of information that the Prequel Haters often bring up in their messageboard wars is how the movies were rumored to have driven Ewan McGregor to drink and that he hated them as much as Sir Alec did the originals. Well, that may not be completely true as it sounds like he'd... more. -

Earlier this year we learned how Lucasarts cancelled both Battlefront III and Battlefront IV. Now in an interview with one of the Free Radical founders, it's been revealed that Battlefront III was basically finished when Lucasarts pulled the plug. Apparently all it needed was some time in QA and bug fixing,... more. -

If you own Angry Birds Star Wars, check your app store updates. The long-awaited free Hoth update has arrived and it brings with it 20 new levels, two more bonus levels, and the Princess Leia bird. The update should be available by the time you read this on the mobile platforms, although I haven't yet seen an update come down for the desktop versions (I'm playing it on both iOS and OSX). Hoth ... more. -

If you're a hardcore prequel hater, you'd better sit down. An art critic has declared that the third prequel, Revenge of the Sith, is the best work of art in recent history. This is based on the last part of the movie, where Anakin turns to the Dark Side and the operatic way George Lucas showed his final fall. The declaration was made by art critic Camille Paglia in an more. -
