Later this month Verizon will have a special ultra-limited edition Droid 2 modeled after R2D2. As the Droid phones do have to have Lucasfilm's permission to even use the Droid name; such a special edition phone actually makes a lot of sense. There are numerous comic book apps for the iPhone, so many that it's tough to filter through them all. A lot of are just free storefronts for downloading paid digital comics and others are decent comic readers for .cbr and .cdz files (ComicZeal is my favorite in that category). comiXology produces many of the free storefront apps, but they have put out their "more. -

If you have a TomTom GPS system and are a Star Wars fan, you're going to love this. TomTom has signed a licensing deal with Lucasfilm to provide Star Wars voices for the navigation device. Currently Vader, Yoda, and 3PO are available and Han Solo is coming in August. They'll set you back about $13 per voice, and you can check them out more. -

CBS has just posted a new app to the Apple App Store that turns your iPhone into a Star Trek communicator. You can flip the communicator open by flipping the phone and it includes all sorts of Original Series sound effects.
