This year, Richart Matheson was finally inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. And for good reasons, his works are among the most referenced of Science Fiction writers of the 20th Century. His I Am Legend has been translated into at least three movies, and now his 1956 short story that was the basis of the Twilight Zone episode “Steel” is being translated into a big budget 2011 movie starring Hugh Jackman. And it really looks pretty cool.
If you don’t remember the Twilight Zone episode, it’s the one with the boxing robot named “Maxo”. It was one of the later episodes of Twilight Zone, but still a pretty good one.
