Mortal Kombat Arcade Trilogy Coming to XBLA and PSN

Hot on the heels of the awesome new 3D Mortal Kombat’s release, Warner Bros. Interactive announced the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for XBLA and PSN. Releasing in late summer, the downloadable collection will include “arcade perfect” ports of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.

“We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.”

How much will these three classic games set you back? Just $10 for all three. That’s 800 MS points on XBLA and $9.99 on PSN. Hopefully PSN will be back online by the time the collection releases.
