If you’re doubting that The Old Republic will release this year, you really should stop. Today, BioWare has kicked off Phase 2 of the guild formation process. The first phase started back in March, and the third will likely be at the launch of the game. Since the guild phase has hit the second part, it’s very possible that we may be just a couple weeks away from a release date announcement.
Phase 2 of the guild system allows pre-created guilds to align themselves with other guilds, or specify a guild to be a foe. They have also put in new permissions that a guild master can give members so they can invite new players to the guild via email.
The third and final phase will automatically assign pre-created guilds to a server and prepare the roster so people can log right into their guild’s server on the day the game is released.
