We’ll probably never stop hearing about a mythical Ghostbusters 3, and following the death of Harold Ramis it seems like the sequel has taken yet another turn. The latest idea is for the new team to be made up of popular female comedians, who will have the torch passed to them by the surviving Ghostbusters.
The Toronto Star asked Bill Murray at TIFF about the movie and his ideas for who should make up the new team:
“I’m fine with it,†Murray says. “I would go to that movie, and they’d probably have better outfits, too.â€
“Melissa would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she’s funny!
“I like this girl Linda Cardellini (Mad Men) a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there.â€
You know what? I would see that movie too. Hopefully Columbia takes Bill Murray’s advice and puts together a cast similar to that.
