Fox Delays \’Fantastic Four\’ Until After the 2015 San Diego Comic Con

||

Fantastic Four Roger CormanOne of the big surprises at this past summer’s San Diego Comic Con is that Fox made zero mention of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot. Nothing, not even a logo of the movie appeared at Fox’s Hall H panel and many people believed this meant that Fox was hiding the film from comic fans. After all, the movie was scheduled to release on June 19, 2015. More than a month before the 2015 San Diego Comic Con.

Not so anymore.

Lost in the fervor of the Deadpool announcement yesterday, Fox has moved the Fantastic Four reboot back a couple of months to August 7th. Not only does this move Fantastic Four out of the path of Jurassic World (it was originally opening just a week later), it also gives Fox a chance to show something to fans at Comic Con next summer.

Whether or not fans will buy into a found footage-style Fantastic Four movie with yet another dumb Doctor Doom design remains to be seen.
