There has been an awakening…

The first full teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has arrived, and we’ve gone frame by frame to see exactly what it shows. Perhaps the coolest thing is that everything in the teaser matches up with leaks we’ve been seeing for the last few months. It’s very cool to see concept art so perfectly replicated in the movie.

Lets begin, shall we?

Look sir, Boyega!

Obviously meant to echo the “Look sir, droids!” scene in A New Hope, the first shot is John Boyega on a sand planet (most likely Tatooine) looking like he’s in a panic. He’s in a more modern version of Stormtrooper armor, sans helmet. Rumors say that the film opens with Boyega’s TIE Fighter crashing into the planet (and he’s rescued by Daisy Ridley), so this is likely shortly after the crash.

The New Rolling Droid

This little guy works like a droid version of a Segway, in that no matter what direction the orb moves his head remains on top. This is the new “R2” in the movie as according to the leaked concept art, it appears this little guy accompanies Boyega and Ridley on their adventure.

The New Stormtroopers

Here are the new Stormtroopers, which we saw not long ago via the leaked helmet prop. The shot shows them in a transport, their new scoped rifles, and the door opening to a planet at night. You can see what looks like a moisture vaporator outside the door, which would coincide with leaked art that shows the Stormtroopers doing bad things on the sand planet.

Kira

We don’t know for sure if Daisy Ridley’s character is named Kira yet, but there’s a very strong chance that she is. We see her on her interesting speeder, and then flying off towards the set that TMZ leaked. This is said to be a scavenger meeting place, and is also the same location the little roller droid was seen at earlier in the teaser.
