Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. brings it’s awesome second season to a close tonight, but now we have hints of what will happen in season 3 of that and season 2 of Agent Carter.
ABC held their “up fronts” today for their new series and as part of that they released the official synopsis for each Marvel series that returns to the network later this year (or next year for Carter):
Here’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.:
“Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) embarks on a deadly new secret mission to protect the world from new threats in the wake of SHIELD’s wars with Hydra and a rogue faction of Inhumans.”
“Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.â€
Of the two Agent Carter poses the most interesting idea by moving the series to LA. That’s a big change from the first season that was set in New York, and it opens up the possibility for a lot of different characters from the Marvel mythos to pop up. Maybe they’ll even advance the timeline a bit into the 50s for even more of a change?
