If you want to play Battlefront before anyone else, and you have an Xbox One, you’re in luck as it’s been confirmed that the game will indeed be playable on that platform first.
This is due to the Xbox One-exclusive EA Access service where for $4.99 a month ($30 a year) you get early access to all of EA’s games, discounts on the games digitally, and a vault with playable titles. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer confirmed that Battlefront will be included in the EA Access trial period:

Previously some people were worried that Battlefront would be excluded from the EA Access trial as Sony as a marketing deal with EA on Battlefront where the game is being promoted with PlayStation 4 branding. Since people are paying for EA Access it wouldn’t make sense that one game would be excluded from their subscription, so it’s nice to get this confirmation. The EA Access trial is usually for six to ten hours, which for most people would be a Friday night of gaming.
