Star Wars fans will get an official look at concept art for The Force Awakens in the official art book that will hit stores on December 18th.
StarWars.com revealed information on the book, which like everything else related to the movie has a strict Mystery Box-enforced released date of December 18th. The Art Of book will join John Williams’ soundtrack and other tie-in books that will be releasing the same day as the movie:
“Exclusive interviews with the entire creative team also provide a detailed look at what it took to bring director J. J. Abrams’ vision to life, while the unused “blue sky†concept art offers glimpses into roads not traveled.”
Some characters, such as Kylo Ren and Maz Kanata, had many different designs throughout the process, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s included. Also one has to wonder if it’ll include anything from the Michael Arndt ideas that were discarded, but had art done for them.
