Today is November 17th and that means it’s exactly thirty days from the first US screenings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
It’s almost hard to believe it’s been more than three years since Disney CEO Robert Iger announced to the world in October of 2012 that not only did Disney buy Lucasfilm, but there would be an Episode VII coming as well. If you want to give Star Wars fans a double heart attack that’s how you do it. First announce that Disney bought the franchise, and then reveal that they’d be seeing a movie they never thought they would.
There have been a lot of crazy things happening with Star Wars over the last three years. We got a great new animated series in Rebels, the canon was reset so now all future comics, books, shows, and games are part of one unified canon, and we’re going to get a new Star Wars movie every single year.
It’s never been a better time to be a Star Wars fan, so you’ll need to excuse us as we act like this for the next thirty days:
