That cliffhanger ending to The X-Files Season 10 will likely be resolved soon, as the key members are “on board” for Season 11!
TV Line has quotes from Fox Television’s CEO where she believes they’re good to go:
During a conference call with reporters to tout Foxâ€™s 2016-17 schedule, chairman and CEO Dana Walden confirmed that there have been â€œconversationsâ€ with series creator Chris Carter and stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, adding, â€œI believe everyone is on board to do another installment of the show.â€ Walden conceded that there will be some scheduling hurdles to overcome, but, â€œHopefully, this time next year we will have more news.â€
This means we’re likely to not see the 11th season until late 2017 or into 2018, but that’s fine as long as we get it eventually. We need to find out what’s going to happen to Mulder and the rest of the people being wiped out by that alien virus!
