As good as Cinderella was and as amazing as The Jungle Book is, Disney’s next live action remake needs to tread carefully. Perhaps even more so than doing a remake of an animated movie that Walt worked on, Beauty & The Beast means so much to Disney animation that the remake has to be treated just right. This is the movie, after The Little Mermaid, that cemented the Disney renaissance and it became the first animated film ever to be nominated for Best Picture.
The teaser is very short, featuring the famous opening notes from the prologue to the animated classic and you get to hear Ewan McGregor’s Lumiere and Ian McKellen’s Cogsworth saying some familiar dialog, and it closes with a shot of the famous rose and a brief glimpse at Emma Watson as Belle.
