Star Trek has released a short video announcing that Star Trek Discovery is now in production, and it gives us some cool sneak peeks.
First there’s this art of the Discovery itself, and it matches the preview video released last year almost exactly:
Then we get a close-up of what the uniforms will look like. While this is set in the “Prime” universe, and only ten years before Kirk’s five-year mission, the uniforms look a lot like an evolution from Enterprise and less like the 60’s series:
There’s also this render of a different Federation ship. It looks a lot like a TNG-era ship in terms of design:
The video also has a lot of shots of sets being built, one of which is possibly the bridge of the Discovery:
